In Luke 9 we find a series of events where Jesus exceeds the expectations of those around him - shocking, surprising and amazing both large crowds and his closest disciples. It's easy for us today to place our own expectations on the Lord and what he will do in our life and in our world. When we find ourselves doing this it's important to remember that trying to fit Jesus into a man-made box didnāt work the first time, heās bigger and more wonderful than we could ever expect.

Series Title: Kingdom Come
Kicks Off: Sabbath, July 5 with Pastor Sean Berkeley
This July, weāre launching an exciting new sermon series titled Kingdom Come, a journey led by several of our pastors, beginning with Pastor Sean Berkeley on July 5.
In this series, weāll dive deep into what it means to live under the reign of Jesus right here, right now. Each week will focus on a powerful Kingdom theme:
Pray like it matters. Be rich toward God. Repent to live. Count the cost of the call.
Pray like it matters. Be rich toward God. Repent to live. Count the cost of the call.
Jesus calls us to a life that looks radically different from the world around usāand Kingdom Come is our invitation to say yes.
Don't miss a single week. Letās seek first the Kingdomātogether.

In his newest book Practicing Justice, Nathan Brown weaves together Scripture, history & the lived experience of activism to show that justice is not an optional activity for Christians - itās the public outworking of and salvation.
With deep theological insight and a pastorās heart, Brown explores the character of God, the biblical call to justice, and how movements like the Civil Rights era can shape how we live today. This is a book for those discouraged by injustice, for those inspired to act, and for all who want their faith to mean something real in the world.
Available for pre order from Amazon Kindle now. Release date 27th, June.

Operation Barbarossa swept across Eastern Europe, from the borders of Germany, through todays Ukraine and deep into Soviet Russia towards Stalingrad. It became the site of some of the largest and most brutal battles, deadliest atrocities, and horrific conditions for Soviets and Germans alike ā all of which influenced the course of World War II. The defeat of Operation Barbarossa led to the end of that war. In this program we investigate its connection with a young Australian engineer and consider the insights Operation Barbarossa provides into the Universal War, the War behind all wars that is still raging today and involves all of us, yes, even you and me.
